Is It Cheaper To Make Garage Shelves By Yourself?
I would ike to know why would anybody be involved in DIY shelf when they can simply run down to the neighboring furniture shop and obtain something already made? Is building your own shelf the best right way to go?
Just about everything I’ve constructed has been a unique design in certain way. One of our girls wanted a shelf over her bed that would fit her Barbie dolls in a particular way. The final result was in her precise preference of colors, the accurate dimension she required, and with the correct combination of cubes and open shelving. Getting that in a store would have been completely impossible. Because of this, you could make floating shelves by yourself.
It’s much more affordable to construct your own shelf. If I’m designing something ordinary, like a normal bookcase, I work the project around the dimensions of a standard wood plank and make certain that all pieces are cut down in such a way as to give me leftover wood for further constructions. Compared to the cost of buying a similar bookcase in the shop, I invariably conserve a lot of money.
